Shokry earns the Devils a last minute draw

 Ahmed Shokry, Al Ahly’s youngster, earned the Red Devils a last minute draw with Al Mokaweloon in the 14th week of the Egyptian Premier League campaign.



Al Ahly controlled the game from the beginning but Ahmed Fathi and Geddo’s chances missed the target.


Mohamed Fadl, Al Ahly’s striker, was injured with a hamstring cramp in the 22nd minute and was substituted by the energetic Mohamed Barakat.


In the 52nd minute, Mohamed Salah, gave his team the lead after receiving a long pass inside the box and firing a low shot in the middle of the target that passed just under Abou El So’oud’s hands in a weird scene.


Afroto entered as a substitute for the injured Hossam Ashoor in order to create more chances.


The youngster Afroto was successful in controlling the midfield and creating a lot of chances that were missed by the strikers.


In the 73rd minute, Mohamed Barakat made a nice cross towards the far post to AbouTrika who received the ball with a diving volley that missed the target by a lick of paint.


In the 91st minute, Ahmed Shokry placed a great ball towards the far top corner of the target from the right side with his left foot to score the equalizer finally after various attempts.


The opposition’s keeper was injured after the goal and took about 4 minutes to receive treatment but the referee ended the match in the 7th minute of injury time although he signaled 6 minutes at the end of the match.


Al Ahly earned their 24th point that put him in the 4th place 6 points away from Zamalek who is on top of the table awaiting their classical encounter on the 30th of December.
