Al Ahly climbs on top again after beating El Masry

Al Ahly climbed again to the top of the table after beating El Masry today in Cairo Stadium  with a score 2-1.

 

 

 

                                                                          

 

 

 

 

 

First Half:

 

The game had a quick start where Amir Abdel Hamid saved Ahmed Galal's shot that was countered by a header from Ahmed Hassan on the other side that missed the goal.

 

In the 10th minute, Barakat was tripped inside the area winning a penalty.

 

Unfortunately, Barakat puts the ball into the keeper hands who diverted the penalty kick into a corner.

 

Wael Gomaa got booked after a fierce tackle.

 

Ahmed Hassan's penalty misses the goal again after Saied Moawad put a nice cross inside.

 

Fathi makes a cross from the right side that was cleared into the net by the unlucky defender giving Al Ahly the lead.

 

Amir saves Akooti's free kick but he made a great mess of it. However, he was lucky the striker on the follow was in an offside position.

 

Motaz Eno fires one into the goalkeeper's hands after a lot of miss passes by both teams in midfield.

 

Motaz Eno gets a yellow card after tackling El Masry's midfielder in the 41st minute.

 

Second Half:

 

Gilberto enters as a substitute for Saied Moawad.

 

Ahmed Hassan earns a foul after being tackled by Ashoor El Adham who got booked.

 

Ahmed Ali enters as a substitute for Hossam Ashoor who was booked during the first half.

 

A yellow card for Ahmed Ali after the referee thought it was a simulation after he fell inside the area.

 

The referee cancelled Flavio's goal in the 25th minute claiming that it was offside.

 
In the 34th minute, Barakat's header missed the goal from a short distance to prove again that it wasn’t his day.

 

Ahmed Hassan receives Flavio's pass inside the area and shoots to increase the lead to 2 goals.

 

El Helali scored El Masry's first goal in the 37th minute to decrease the lead to one goal.

 

The following minutes passed with no danger except for Barakat's shot that was saved by George, El Masry's keeper, to end the game 2-1.
