Jose deprives himself from a new title

Manuel Jose, Al Ahly's Portuguese manager, deprived himself from the title of the best coach in Africa in 2008 after he announced that he will miss the ceremony and will stay in Portugal for 3 days.
The rules of the CAF state that any nominee who misses the ceremony will be deprived from the title which Jose agreed on and decided to miss the ceremony which was on the 11th of February although he was nearly 100% winning the title after Hassan Shehata announced his absence.
On the other hand, Ahmed Hassan and Flavio will also miss the ceremony although they are nominated for the best player inside Africa in 2008.
Mohamed AbouTrika will attend the ceremony as he is nominated for 2 titles which are the best African player and the best player inside Africa in 2008.
Also Mahmud El Khatib, Al Ahly's former star, will represent the club in the ceremony where it is nominated for the title of the best club in Africa in 2008.
