AbouTrika: seeking pride in Lagos

Mohamed AbouTrika, Al Ahly and Egypt's midfielder, is getting ready for his journey to Lagos where he will seek pride and he wants to achieve the Egyptians' GREAT EXPECTATIONS.

 

 

                                                                             

 

 

 

 

AbouTrika is travelling to Lagos, Nigeria in order to attend the CAF ceremony for the 2008 continental awards.

 

The star midfielder is nominated for the BEST AFRICAN PLAYER in 2008 award as well as the BEST PLAYER INSIDE AFRICA in 2008 award.

 

AbouTrika, after coordination with the Egyptian embassy in Nigeria, is going to practice in Nigeria in order to keep in shape during his journey as he is getting prepared for the league match against El Masry.

 

AbouTrika was awarded this year the title of the Best African Player in 2008 awarded by the BBC. However, he is looking forward to the CAF's title which will make him the 2nd Egyptian to win the award after El Khatib got the title in 1983.

 

Emmanuel Adebayor and Michael Essien are the other two nominees with AbouTrika who achieved in 2008:
